Once again, it's been a very long time since I posted anything on this blog! Life just seems to keep getting in the way! My momma went home to be with Jesus Sept. 16, 2014 @ 12:47pm. We buried her on Sept 19, and it all still seems like a really bad dream that I can't wake up from. They say it will get easier in time, we shall see. I am hurting so right now and hopefully that hurt will ease in time too. Haven't had much time to do any crochet or knitting. School is in full swing and I am taking a full 12 credit hours this semester. What was I thinking??? :) That I just want to get school done and over with, that's what I'm thinking!!! Fall is here, and soon it will be winter........not looking forward to snow, cold and ice just yet!

Nearly finished with my very first knit sock (using dpn's to boot)! Don't know why I always had such a problem in the past with these needles. This is coming together quite nicely..not perfect, but for a first one, really good if i do say so myself! No i think i am addicted to sock knitting....have already picked up yarn for a second pair and still have the second one of these to make! :)

Well, once again we are going through another winter storm. Temps with windchills as great as -30.  I am so ready for Winter to be done and over with! With weather just wreaks havoc with my fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis!

Spring semester has started. Whatever possessed me to take 14 credit hours this semester, I don't know. UGH!!! I am going to be beyond busy with working full time and school full time! Oh well, it's gotta get done I guess!

Have the weekend off this weekend, am planning to do nothing and just enjoy my two days off! Maybe do some crocheting and knitting and catch up on some of the programs I have dvr'd through the week! :)

I've been working on boot cuffs for my cousin's 13 year old daughter and my 16 year old daughter. These seem to be the new rage this year! Super easy to make and can be worn standing up or folded over the top of the boot. The girls like them! Top was made with red heart black light yarn and the bottom with red heart pink camo.
